Sir Isaac Brock was a person who, as far as we know, only sat to have his portrait painted twice during his lifetime. A small miniature was painted when he was about 16 years old. Later, while he was stationed in Canada, he sat for the itinerant artist, Gerritt Schipper sometime between 1807 and 1810, likely either in Montreal or Quebec City. Treasured Legacy: More than 100 years of Greeks in Niagara
